City's 'slow journalism' platform inviting new submissions
Second edition of print journal in pipeline
A new print journal dedicated to short fiction and 'slow journalism' is inviting submissions for its second issue.
The New Nottingham Journal was launched with the support of a kickstarter campaign last summer which raised £3,500.
November's debut issue of the literary journal sold out and is now on a second print run.
It is now inviting submissions of slow journalism, short fiction, creative non-fiction and poetry for issue two, due to come out in the latter half of this year.
Founder and editor Andrew Tucker Leavis said: "Thanks to an incredible groundswell of support from Nottingham and miles beyond, we’ve been able to launch a new print journal dedicated to short fiction, poetry, slow journalism and photography, and to keep its momentum going.
"It’s time to build on that beginning with Issue 2. We hope to make the NNJ a home for accomplished, eclectic writing."
The word limit for short fiction, creative non-fiction and slow journalism is 4,000 words but there are no restrictions on theme or subject.
